We moved to the deep creek valley near Chehalis in 2009 to begin raising emus. Our goal was to live closer to the land with more quiet and open space in our lives. Our ranch is on 9 acres and is home, not only to our mob of emus, but also to our chickens, cows, goats, sheep, cats, dogs, and bees. Perhaps even pigs someday.
Emus are a wonderful opportunity for a small acreage like ours. They are quiet and curious and are a lot of fun to raise.
From our emu oil, we make many of the products that we sell from our home, like our soap, body butter, and salves. Each year we are trying to add a few more products to our line, so stay tuned.
